An Explore Colleges tour benefits a wide range of students:
12th graders - in determining which schools to apply for and which to attend.
10th and 11th graders - in defining their college options and becoming motivated to study for school exams and college testing.
9th graders - in focusing on their future and following a college prep curriculum.
Middle schoolers - in introducing higher education and determining their high school paths.
Gifted athletes, musicians, artists and scholars - in motivating and providing information about programs, facilities and scholarships.
Tour detail
A one day tour includes
2-3 guided campus tours
Lunch in a campus dining hall
Deluxe motorcoach transportation (equipped with bathroom, climate control, movies and more)
Snack on return trip
All-day accompaniment and services by an Explore Colleges staff member
The cost per participant begins at $49, based upon the distance and duration of the tour and the time of year.
Tours are customized to meet the needs of students and their school guidelines. Overnight campus visits may also be arranged.
The minimum number of participants for each tour is 40. Motorcoaches accommodate 40-55 travelers. For one-day tours, two school counselors may participate free of charge with 40 paying passengers. Due to the additional expense of multi-day tours, only one counselor may be accommodated at no charge.
